This April, Milan Design Week becomes the stage for a unique dialogue between the refined elegance of Swiss textiles and the vibrant soul of Persian nomadic art. Zollanvari is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Fischbacher 1819, unveiling a carpet collection that is a ‘Duet for the Living.’ Sculptural Depth The collection features hero designs—Bejan, Kamila, Jamshid, and Kamran—that draw from a rich tapestry of cultural heritage. Technically, the collection pushes the boundaries of nomadic weaving. Utilizing a Souf-inspired relief technique developed exclusively for the Kamila design, our Afshar craftswomen have combined raised three-dimensional pile with a Soumak-woven ground and Kelim side-binding.
Heritage Reimagined From the Zoroastrian talisman motifs of the madrasas of Khiva to the geometric Ziggurat forms of Jamshid and Kamran (the latter an artistic echo that recalls Fischbacher 1819’s own Sitara fabric), every piece tells a story. These are ‘antiques of the future’ created with organic hand-spun wool and natural vegetable dyes.

ZOLLANVARI RETURNS TO COVER CONNECT NEW YORK 2025 WITH NEW ARTISTIC HORIZONS
Zollanvari is set to make a triumphant return to COVER Connect New York, the premier annual trade fair for high-end rug brands, from September 13–15, 2025. For the fourth consecutive year, Zollanvari will be located at Booth M05 in the Metropolitan Pavilion, where it will present a stunning collection that celebrates the fusion of age-old craftsmanship and contemporary design.
This year’s showcase is a powerful testimony to the ingenuity of the artist, the intuitive savoir-faire of the weavers, and the enduring art of weaving itself. At the heart of the presentation is the featured artist for the show, Seattle-based designer Carmen Carbone Andonian. Driven by an unrelenting desire to innovate and surprise, Zollanvari will introduce her new masterwork, The Pacific Northwest Collection. Inspired by the region’s “dramatic mountain ranges, diverse waterscapes, countless islands, and four distinct seasons,” this collection resonates perfectly with Zollanvari’s overarching BACK TO NATURE campaign. The collection features five unique designs that evoke a sense of place and artistry: Rainier Flowers, Alki Beach, Columbia River, Palouse Autumn, and Neah Bay.
