This April, the ‘unbroken thread’ travels to the heart of Milan Design Week for a landmark partnership. We are proud to unveil a curated carpet collection created by Fischbacher 1819 and produced by Zollanvari, where centuries of Swiss textile prestige meet the soul of Persian nomadic weaving.
The Art of the Relief
The collection is defined by its tactile, sculptural depth. In a breakthrough developed exclusively for the Kamila design, our Afshar craftswomen have utilized a Souf-inspired relief technique, seamlessly combining a raised three-dimensional wool pile with a Soumak-woven ground and Kelim side-binding.
The Language of Origin
From the geometric Ziggurat weaves of Jamshid and Kamran—the latter of which elegantly recalls the Fischbacher Sitara design—to Zoroastrian talismans that whisper of the Silk Road, these pieces are truly ‘antiques of the future.’ Every carpet is handcrafted in Iran using organic hand-spun wool and natural vegetable dyes, honouring a heritage that is simultaneously repositioned and reimagined.

ZOLLANVARI RETURNS TO COVER CONNECT NEW YORK 2025 WITH NEW ARTISTIC HORIZONS
Zollanvari is set to make a triumphant return to COVER Connect New York, the premier annual trade fair for high-end rug brands, from September 13–15, 2025. For the fourth consecutive year, Zollanvari will be located at Booth M05 in the Metropolitan Pavilion, where it will present a stunning collection that celebrates the fusion of age-old craftsmanship and contemporary design.
This year’s showcase is a powerful testimony to the ingenuity of the artist, the intuitive savoir-faire of the weavers, and the enduring art of weaving itself. At the heart of the presentation is the featured artist for the show, Seattle-based designer Carmen Carbone Andonian. Driven by an unrelenting desire to innovate and surprise, Zollanvari will introduce her new masterwork, The Pacific Northwest Collection. Inspired by the region’s “dramatic mountain ranges, diverse waterscapes, countless islands, and four distinct seasons,” this collection resonates perfectly with Zollanvari’s overarching BACK TO NATURE campaign. The collection features five unique designs that evoke a sense of place and artistry: Rainier Flowers, Alki Beach, Columbia River, Palouse Autumn, and Neah Bay.
